Like dolphins, mermaids receive a euphoric high from puffer fish toxin. Sadly, some of them crave this high over everything – even themself.

A part of my Mermaid Horror series, this piece was made to show that these species are not just monsters, but creatures who experience their own struggles just like all of the other sea life.
